missingWrote a review on 08 Octclean modern roomproximity train stationtight room space
The Pop Room offers a clean, modern design that attracts a comfortable vibe. The location's proximity to the train station means you’re just a minute’s walk away from accessing trains for all your adventures.
Rooms can feel really tight, especially with beds positioned right up against the entrance door, leaving little wiggle room to move around. With no air conditioning to cool off the space, it can get stifling hot, especially when trying to sleep with the window open—hardly ideal for those sensitive to noise. the bathroom features a sliding door that doesn't function well, often causing annoying disturbances.

I booked a Family Room here, drawn in by the proximity to Lille Flandres station. The location is incredibly convenient, just a minute's walk away, and it’s surrounded by shops. The room was clean, spacious, and had large beds, which was perfect for my family. the sound insulation was a significant issue. You could hear everything, from neighbors taking showers to street noise. Our mother struggled with the steep staircase due to no lift. It made getting to our room somewhat challenging, especially after a long day out. the heating in the room didn’t seem very effective—it was chilly at times. while the amenities were basic, the cleanliness and location nearly made up for the inconveniences.

The hotel's proximity to the local train station is spot-on, making it a breeze for getting around. Breakfast features fresh bread that hits the spot, and I appreciated the spacious bathrooms in the luxurious triple room, which made the stay just a bit more comfortable.
The room sizes can be a challenge. I barely had space around the king-sized bed and the furniture is strictly functional—nothing to write home about. While the location is convenient, the lack of air conditioning meant sleeping with the window open, exposing me to street noise. Internet connectivity was unreliable, and forget about tea or coffee making facilities in the room. the elevator was cramped, only fitting three people, and it didn't help when one of the beds collapsed under pressure. Some maintenance seems overdue, like better noise insulation and a working sliding bathroom door. And if you're planning to stay on the upper floors, be prepared to haul your bags up the stairs if the elevator is out of service.

The lack of noise insulation meant we heard street sounds and neighbors from our room.
